Yesterday I was privileged to speak with actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, of Father of the Bride and According to Jim fame. (Yes, and wife-of-Brad-Paisley fame. No, he was not available to talk during our conversation.) I interviewed Kim about her role in the Lifetime Movie Network film Amish Grace, which premieres Sunday March 28, 2010, at 8pm EST.
The movie is based on the real events that devastated Nickel Mines, PA, back in October 2006. I remember being horrified by the news that five young Amish girls had been executed in their schoolhouse by a local man. Kim plays the part of a mother who has lost a daughter in the shooting. The movie focuses a lot on the idea of forgiveness--the Amish way of doing it, and the English (non-Amish) people's inability to understand or echo such forgiveness. I recommend that you watch the show if you have access to the station.
